Start an
After
School Archery Program
ASAP programs continue where the "first shot" leaves off! Learn
new skills, earn awards, and experience the wealth of archery styles and
equipment used in tournaments and leagues. Sanctioned by USA
Archery, National Field Archery Association, Archery Shooters
Association, and facilitated by NADA.

Equipment Access
As an instructor, you can rent
or buy program equipment from NADA. If you teach instructor
training courses, NADA will waive the rental fee.

Host a Certified Instructor Course

NADA will locate a qualified course instructor, provide course materials

Basic
Certified Instructor |

You can become certified to teach basic archery
programs in as little as 8 hours! NADA is the
official facilitator of Basic Certification for
USA Archery and National Field Archery
Association. NADA has facilitated the training
of over 26,000 new instructors during the past 5
years.
You'll learn how to set up and operate a safe
short-term archery program, how to teach new
archers, how to maintain your equipment, and how
to create fun games for your new archers. And
you’ll learn how to teach an introduction to the
Drills & Skills training program, which teach
new archers the basic skills they’ll need to be
successful quickly. Certification is valid for
3 years; courses are open to any person in the
year of their 16th birthday.
Here's what you'll learn:
For
Program Directors:
Call NADA to schedule an instructor training
course for your staff. If need be, NADA will
coordinate with a certified course instructor in
your area who will quote you a service fee and
teach the class with a minimum of 6
participants. NADA can provide loaner archery
equipment to be used during the instructor
training course for the cost of shipping. You
provide a safe shooting area, a nearby covered
area with tables and chairs, and any on-site
logistics support for the course instructor.
Once a course is scheduled, NADA can assist in
promoting it to the public by posting it on this
website on the Training Room’s Calendar of
Events.
We
ask for 4-6 week lead time for courses requiring
a course instructor. If the course is to be
taught by your qualified staff member, allow
regular shipping time for materials to arrive.
All course materials are shipped with a 30-day
invoice. All orders must include a credit card
number to insure payment of the invoice. NADA
accepts VISA, MasterCard and American Express.

recurve bows or Genesis compound bows.
Basic Instructor Renewal
If
you are already a Basic Certified instructor and
need renewal, send $5 to NADA along with a memo
from a program coordinator stating you have been
active in teaching archery within the past
months. Your certification will up updated, and
a new card will be mailed to you.

Intermediate
Certified Instructor
If you are already a Basic Certified
instructor, or if you have at least 6 months
experience in the sport, you can attend a
16-hour Intermediate Certification course
taught by an advanced coach of either USA
Archery of National Field Archery
Association.
This great experience will teach you to
conduct intermediate archery classes for
individual archers, groups or clubs; and
teach you how to teach a Basic Certification
course on your own. Participants must be
age 18 or older
You’ll also learn a broader number of Drills
& Skills to teach to your archers, and learn
how to schedule classes using a formatted
class schedule that’s adjustable for various
timeframes.
